We Welcome New Clients

We are currently welcoming new clients to our practice in Houston, TX. By joining West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates we guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the level of service you will receive—delivered with courtesy and respect! As a new client, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs. To get started simply get in touch with us! You can call or email our clinic and one of our friendly staff members will be more than willing to help you.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we’ll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.

One of our veterinarians will then examine your pet, ask you further questions and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your pet's doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan, if warranted. If additional testing is needed, WHVMA is a modern facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and an in-house laboratory, so most tests can be performed here. This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer any wellness and care questions you may have. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up appointments.

In response to increased demand at our clinic, we have implemented a $50 deposit requirement for all NEW clients. This is to ensure appointment availability for all pets requiring our services and to facilitate optimal treatment. The deposit will be credited towards your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, a refund will be processed only if done within 24 hours. One of our dedicated client service specialists will call you to collect the deposit.

Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
